Before Eat The Sofa, it all began with The Hometown
Boys:
The project began way back with Allan Broad (Vocals
and guitar) & Nick Walsh (lead guitar) before they were joined by
Richard Steer (bass).
With Nick leaving early on, Allan and Richard became a
Duo and quickly had a huge set list under their belt.
The aim to be an
all original UK Country band was began and they were joined by Dee Coley
(Drums) and then Duncan Siggers (Lead Guitar).
The only studio recordings can be found here but
unfortunately Richard had left the band at the time the recordings were
starting.
Allan plays bass (badly) in Richard's absence.
After some attempts to replace Richard on bass and
with Paul Goodhand-Tait stepping in for a while
the boys decided to start a fresh with a new project that wasn't
confined to country sounds.
Paul introduced Jamie Legg to the boys and with Dee
switching to bass the rest is
history.
