Henry High b.1862 Bethnal Green

Married Rose Ann Allen 02 jan 1882 and with her had six children.

Rose Elizabeth, Emily Jane, Florence Beatrice, Amy Maud, Henry Edward & Albert George.

 Rose Ann died in 1893 and Henry then married Emily Jane Sitch.

They were married 22 apr 1894 and had seven Children.

Elizabeth Emily, Gertrude Daisy, Elsie May, Gladys Dorothy, Thomas Sydney, Frederick Stanley,

& Winifred Constance

(Interesting to note that the first 4 children born to each wife were daughters and the

following two siblings in each marriage were then boys!)

The picture was sent to me by Malcolm High who recently received contact from Peter Fox who is related to Amy Maud High who married Lewis Fox. Malcolm descends from Frederick Stanley High. 

Peter and Malcolm are therefore half 1st cousins once removed!

Malcolm also added "My father spoke of visiting a relative in the Ongar area when he was a boy, and I wondered if it could have been Gertrude May, your great-grandmother; it seems an amazing coincidence that she named one of her children Frederick Stanley, which was my father's name."

Mike says; "Mary Ann Sitch (1860-1925) who married my great grandfather Walter Plowman (1856-1926) in 1879. My aunt gave the original to me a few years ago saying it was taken just before she died in 1925".

William and Mary were the Uncle and Aunt of my Great Grandmother on my mother's mother's side Gertrude May Sitch.

his wife Ethel (nee Hammel)... Our separate lines of the Sitch family meet with

John Sitch and his wife Sarah (nee Mays/e)

That makes us 4th cousins once removed i think!
